NVC's covid policy follows the Northfield Public Schools and CDC procedures. These policies and guidelines frequently change, and we are providing notice of our updated policy as well.
If your child is a close contact to someone that tests positive (this would include a teammate at practice) and your child is neither vaccinated NOR has tested positive herself in the last 90 days, she must quarantine for 5 days from the date of exposure with day 1 being the first full day after exposure. She must also provide documentation of a negative test taken on day 6 or later to return to practice/games within the 10-day period following exposure. Proof of the negative test must be provided, and your child should expect to play in a mask until 10 days has passed from exposure.
If your child is a close contact to someone that tests positive (including a teammate at practice) and IS vaccinated, she is not required to quarantine unless she develops symptoms.
Any player that tests positive must stay home for 5 days and can return when fever-free for 24 hours if she was symptomatic OR after 5 days if she didn’t have any symptoms.
Northfield Public Schools students may obtain test kits from the district. Documentation of a negative test should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Each play date or tournament we enter has an associated fee. The fees range from $100-500 (that would be for 2-day tournaments). This is the largest expense for each team. We also pay our coaches for their time, and we try to do so with an eye to the “going rate” for the area to attract and keep quality coaches. Other expenses: insurance for each team, practice facility rental (yes, the school district charges us to use their facilities!), jerseys, equipment purchase/replacement, website maintenance (including Sports Engine), Secretary of State/tax expenses. The Northfield Volleyball Club is a non-profit organization. Please know that we do our best to use the funds wisely!
All teams are posted and all teams should have received an email about team placement.

Thank you, NVC families, for a successful season despite all of pandemic-related chaos! We are happy to report that there were no covid outbreaks and only a few random player/coach quarantines that did not extend to entire teams. Thank you for your diligence and patience as we juggled players and coaches, at times, to give these girls a season.
We hope to field at least two teams this fall, a 12s team and a 14s team. Stay tuned for more details!

Please send the signed Waiver with your child for tryouts. Your child will not be able to tryout without this form.
As much as possible, we would like to avoid having a crowd for check-in. Please plan to drop your child off and pick her up at the end. We understand this may be difficult for the younger players. Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled tryout time.
Players must have the following to attend tryout: 1) a check in the amount of $30 made out to NVC for tryout fee; 2) registration completed online by 9 am on Sunday, November 8; 3) signed Waiver; 4) water bottle; 5) face covering.
